The Chiefs have their Super Bowl title to defend and have a talented team, making them one of the teams to beat this year. This upcoming season will no doubt be full of intense sportsmanship: You won’t want to miss seeing these rivals face off in their first meet of the season.

Raiders vs. Chiefs Rivalry History

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the winningest teams in the National Football League. Formed as the Oakland Raiders in 1960, the NFL team moved to Las Vegas in 2020, where they began to play at Allegiant Stadium

As far as coaches go, John Madden remains one of the best that the Las Vegas Raiders had. Madden served as the Raiders’ coach for several seasons, leading the team to numerous wins, amassing a 103-32-7 record.

Under Madden, the Raiders won seven division championships, three AFL championships, and two Super Bowls. In 2006, the coach received an induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, speaking to his success as a coach and leader.

The Kansas City Chiefs are another successful NFL team that competes in the American Football Conference West division. Created in 1960 and an NFL franchise in 1970, the Chiefs are always among the top contenders for their conference championship and a possible competitor in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs play home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium

The Raiders vs. Chiefs rivalry goes back to the 1960s, with the Chiefs having the edge over the Raiders with a 72-54-2 record. Altogether, the teams met 128 times and competed in several playoffs, most of which the Chiefs won.
