The Rolling Stones Celebrate 50 Year Anniversary Tour
After their recently released album titled “GRRR!”, The Rolling Stones have taken center stage again to celebrate their 50 year anniversary of the bands formation in 1962 with a “50 & Counting Tour”. For the past 50 years, the band has kept fans Rockin’ and Rollin’ all over the globe. The Stones have played one of two shows which are scheduled at the O2 Arena in London. They are then headed back to the states to perform for their fans in the Tri-State Area. This December 8th, you can catch The Stones playing at the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Can’t make it? Not to worry. They will also be performing a 2 night stint at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13th and 15th. You can expect to hear a lot of new and classic Stones songs as well as see a lot of funky wardrobe displays which the band is famous for. If you get a chance, the Museum of Modern Art is hosting “The Rolling Stones: 50 Years on Film”. This is a film which chronicles the bands existence from 1962 till today. This exhibit is only open until December 2nd, so don’t miss it!
The Rolling Stones last tour “A Bigger Bang” which took place between 2005 and 2007 was the second highest grossing tour in history behind U2’s “360 tour”. More than 300 tickets for the “50 & Counting Tour” are listed at over $10,000. It is believed that the reason for these outrageous prices is due to the return of former members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor. Is $10,000 out of your spending range? Don’t worry, TickPick has tickets available at a fraction of the cost. Be sure to check it out and don’t miss out on this historic opportunity.
