Their first album was moderately successful in the U.K., but their sophomore effort, 2004’s “Aha Shake Heartbreak,” made them European rock superstars. Success in the U.S. followed with the release of their third album, “Because of the Times,” in 2007, but their real mainstream break came a year later with the release of “Only By the Night,” which spawned some of the band’s best-known hit singles like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody.” Now with six successful albums out there, Kings of Leon are one of the biggest rock acts of today and they have been headlining some the world’s largest music festivals for the last few years.
