Tampa Bay Rays Seating Chart

Welcome to TickPick’s Tampa Bay Rays Seating Chart. On Thursday, November 14th, it was announced that due to damage to Tropicana Field from Hurricane Milton, the Rays will play all of their 2025 home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the site of the New York Yankees’ Spring Training complex and the home field of the Yankees’ single-A affiliate, Tampa Tarpons.

Here, we will cover everything you need to know before you buy Tampa Bay Rays Tickets, including Tropicana Field seat views, the best seats, the Rays Touch Tank, bullpen, and dugout locations, and where you can find the same Tampa Bay Rays seats at the guaranteed best prices of any ticket marketplace.

For all other MLB team seating charts, we’ve a dedicated blog post like this one. These MLB seating charts make it easy to find the right seat for you.

George M. Steinbrenner Field Seating Capacity

With their temporary move to Steinbrenner Field, the Rays’ home stadium will have a seating capacity of just 11,000, making it the most minor MLB ballpark.

With such a limited capacity for real Major League Baseball games, the demand for Rays tickets will surely go way up with such a relatively limited supply.

Steinbrenner Field Seat Numbers

The Steinbrenner Field seating chart with seat numbers shows that seat 1 is always closer to the lower-numbered adjacent section. For example, seat 1 in section 117 would be closest to the highest numbered seat in section 116.

Typically, the best seats are closer to the home plate. Going by that logic, if you’re on the left-field line, you’d want a seat with a lower seat number, and on the right-field line, you’d look for a higher seat number. (So remember, don’t think of seat and row numbers as the same thing.)

Tampa Bay Rays Dugout and Bullpen at Steinbrenner Field

The Tampa Bay Rays dugout is in front of sections 105-107 along the first base line, and the visitors’ dugout is in front of sections 115-117 along the third base line.

The home bullpen at Steinbrenner Field is near the right field corner between the right field foul pole and the beginning of Section 102, and the visitors’ bullpen is between the left field foul pole and the end of Section 120.

Tropicana Field History and Overview

Tropicana Field is located at One Tropicana Drive in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is home to the Tampa Bay Rays. It is the only domed stadium in Major League Baseball that is not retractable, and construction of the stadium concluded in 1990.

The field surface is AstroTurf GameDay Grass, and Tropicana Field has a capacity of 31,042, which can be expanded to 40,947 for Rays playoff games.

Best Seats for Tampa Bay Rays Games

The best Tampa Bay Rays game seats are in the Home Plate Club or the Whitney Bank Club. Any seats around the infield will offer great game views, and loyal Rays fans (a few of them) will tell you that even the nosebleed seats provide great views.

If you want to get rowdy at a Rays game, the Captain Morgan Deck next to section 149 might be the place for you.

Tampa Bay Rays Premium Seats

The Home Plate Club at Tropicana Field has some of the best seats for any Tampa Bay Rays game. These extra-wide, padded seats include in-seat service, complimentary food and drink (including alcohol!), a buffet, and access to the Hancock Bank Club and private dining area. Many listings also include a VIP parking pass; however, please check the seller’s notes for complete details.

Along the first baseline in the 100 level, you will find tickets with access to the Whitney Bank Club. These seats include a full buffet and extra-wide padded seats. Check the seller notes in any 100-level listing to see what else is included in the ticket price.

Tampa Bay Rays Touch Tank

The Rays Touch Tank is located in center field near gate 1. This 35-foot, 10,000-gallon tank contains cownose rays from Tampa Bay waters. Admission to the tank area is free for all fans attending home games; however, there is a limit of 50 people in the area at any given time.

Fans can also feed the rays for $5, with proceeds going to the Florida Aquarium and the Rays Baseball Foundation.

Covered Seating at Tropicana Field

Looking for a shady area for a Tampa Bay Rays home game? This section is for you.

Thankfully, Tropicana Field is the only major stadium with a permanent dome, so it’s easy to find a shaded seat.

ADA Seating at Tropicana Field

For those who use a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Tropicana Field with someone who uses a wheelchair, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections throughout the ballpark.

If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as those who wish to sit with a fan while using a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page, which allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible). ” This will show all seats that the seller has marked as accessible seating.
