Get Taylor Swift tickets before everyone
Taylor Swift just announced The 1989 World Tour, which kicks off in the spring. There’s no doubt that tickets for her massive world tour are going to sell out in an instant, so we’ve got some tips on how to get yours before anyone else. Here’s the lowdown on getting your Taylor Swift tickets.
When do tickets go on sale?
European presales began this morning, but for North American dates, they don’t start until 10:00AM this Friday, November 7 on Ticketmaster, so worry not – there’s still time to prepare!
How do I get presale tickets?
So how can you get access to presales? You have a few options:
1. Join Taylor Swift’s fan club and sign up for her mailing list. You will receive a code via email that will grant you access to presale tickets.
2. As usual, Ticketmaster is offering American Express users advance access to tickets, so if you have an American Express card, use it to get access to this exclusive presale.
Both presales end Thursday, November 13 at 10:00PM, after which tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 14 at 10:00AM. For more help with Ticketmaster, check out our tips and tricks.
What if tickets sell out?
If you’re lucky enough to get a ticket on Ticketmaster, congratulations. Chances are though that tickets will sell out pretty quickly, since there’s bound to be overwhelming demand for this tour. If tickets are sold out, we recommend that you buy them somewhere else ASAP, since prices are just going to go up up up as the date of the show approaches. While we encourage you to weigh all of your options, keep in mind that TickPick has no service charges, which is good news for you, the buyer.
Taylor Swift Red Tour Presale Info
I spent 3 5 hours researching how to get presale tickets for Taylor Swift’s Red Tour. Here’s what you need to know
Are tickets on sale yet?
First you are going to want to check and see if tickets for the Taylor Swift concert that you want to attend, went on sale yet. You can find out on TicketMaster. If they haven’t, that’s a good thing, that means you have a chance to get presale tickets for the Taylor Swift Red Tour before everyone else.
How do I get presale tickets?
Here’s the confusing thing, there are numerous presale ticket options. The one that you want is the Red Presale code.
Here’s how you get your presale code:
- Sign up for Taylor Swift’s fan club
- Then sign up to receive your unique Red Tour presale code
- 24 hours before the presale you’ll receive an email with a unique code to buy Taylor Swift tickets
Any other presale codes?
For safekeeping I also went to Taylor Swift’s event page and found the event I want to go to, (March 27th at Prudential Center) I then clicked signup.
I am hoping this may provide me with the taylorswift.com presale code, but the verdict is still out. There was a forum thread that I read that talked about this, but even after reading it I still had to do two additional hours of research (which is encompassed in this post).
*Update* I did in fact receive a code which was ts1234.
Any tips for TicketMaster?
I frequently hear people talk about how they got tickets, but then lost them in the checkout process. You may be young and naive (like me) but don’t make amateur mistakes.
If you think 5 hours is long you have no idea how long it took to write this: tips for buying tickets on Ticketmaster. You can thank us later.
What if Taylor Swift Tickets sellout?
My recommendation is to buy tickets for Taylor Swift ASAP. Why would I say such a thing?
As I write this on December 14th, there are 2,400 tickets available for resale for the Justin Bieber Concert at Barclays Center. The presale for this concert has already happen, but the general onsale begins tomorrow. We all now it’s going to sell out and tickets will cost hundreds of dollars.
However, you can buy relatively cheap Justin Bieber tickets for $89 on TickPick today. My guess is that by the time you read this, tickets will be well more than $100, you can buy tickets before this happens.
Are you really Young & Naive?
When you are looking to buy tickets for Taylor Swift (or anyone else) you should be looking at prices on other ticket sites, (you can check Stubhub, but here at TickPick we are nicer and we have no service charges).
I forgot to do this the other day and I literally paid the price. Instead of paying $110 for a decent seat on TickPick I ended up paying $125 on TicketMaster… Yes I am still young and naive.
If you can’t tell I have a passion for the music business. I believe that the music & more specifically the ticket industry can be different and better for all of us.
