Church has confirmed his 8-track LP, Evangeline vs. The Machine, will be out May 2 via EMI Records Nashville. This will be Eric Church’s first new LP since his 2021 Heart & Soul Trilogy.
Evangeline vs. The Machine will feature the previously released “Darkest Hour,” and the Devil Went Down to Georgia-inspired “Johnny.” Church will perform a limited number of shows in support of Evangeline, but we think he’ll be announcing more concerts soon.
Maddie & Tae: Love and Light
Dynamic country music duo Maddie & Tae are getting ready to release their fourth studio album. Love and Light, led by the single “Kissing Cowboys,” will include the previously released songs “Free Like,” “Sad Girl Summer” and “Heart They Didn’t Break.” Said to include “stories of resilience” from their shared lives, individual families, and careers, Love and Light reads as a love letter to where they’ve been.
The full Love and Light is due out May 2 and will be supported by a nationwide tour. Maddie Font and Tae Kerr will be on the road April 10 through May 15. But we’re hoping Maddie & Tae extend their “Love and Light” Tour into the summer.
Blake Shelton: For Recreational Use Only
It’s been four years since fans received a new full-length from country superstar Blake Shelton. Now, the musician and The Voice judge is just a month away from releasing his new studio album For Recreational Use Only.
The new Blake Shelton will include the instant hit “Texas” and his more recent track, “Let Him In Anyway.” Shelton was helped by some of the greatest living songwriters in Nashville today to complete this new LP, including Zach Crowell, David Lee Murphy, the Swon Brothers, and Josh Osborne. For Recreational Use Only is due out May 9 and will serve as Shelton’s debut with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
Avery Anna: Let Go Letters
Emerging country singer and TikTok star Avery Anna will release her sophomore album, let go letters, on May 16. The album, so far, has been led by the singles “danny don’t,” “Wish You Well,” and “Mr. Predictable.” Sourced from the box Avery Anna set out by the merch booth on her last tour, let go letters is a real labor of the artist’s community.
“I hope everyone [who] hears these can feel a sense of peace and understanding. I believe [that] to be loved is to be understood,” she said in a statement. “I want to thank you for showing up for me, being honest with me, and writing to me. This album is my letter back to you.
Morgan Wallen: I’m the Problem
You know it’s about to be a big album drop when the record in question is climbing the charts before its release. Such is the case with Morgan Wallen and his incoming album, I’m the Problem, led by the singles “Just In Case,” “I’m The Problem,” “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” and “I’m A Little Crazy.”
Earlier this year, Wallen confirmed a whopping 37 tracks for I’m the Problem. “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” Wallen’s second collaboration with Post Malone, was written during the making of F-1 Trillion. This makes these two frequent collaborators, officially. We can’t wait to hear the rest of I’m the Problem, due out May 16.
Dylan Scott: Easy Does it
Dylan Scott’s 11-track album, Easy Does It, arrives May 30 via Curb Records. Last year’s chart-topping album Livin’ My Best Life (Still) gave fans “This Town’s Been Too Good To Us,” which still sits at No. 4.
Easy Does It will contain the already released singles “I Owe You One,” “You’d Think I Was A Cowboy,” and “What He’ll Never Have.” It will also include Scott’s latest, “I Hate Whiskey.” In honor of his upcoming release, and last year’s successes, Dylan Scott will embark on a solo headlining tour set to kick off later this month.
Ken Pomeroy: Cruel Joke
Singer and songwriter Ken Pomeroy will release her sophomore album, Cruel Joke, on May 16. The 12-track collection, her first with Rounder Records, is anchored in Pomeroy’s Native Cherokee heritage. Cruel Joke aims to shed a light on her recent ascension and the strangeness it feels in the current state of the world. We are extremely excited for the songwriting on this one. The LP was produced by Dakota McDaniel, alongside Gary Paczosa and Colton Jean.
Of the project, Pomeroy explains, “Dakota and I began recording ‘Cicadas’ back in February of 2023. That marked the beginning of our long two-year journey and so much has happened since we started. The oldest song was written when I was 13 years old. The most recent one was written and added to the record only a few months ago, just before we finished recording. For almost two years, we dedicated almost every waking moment to working on Cruel Joke.”
You can find Ken Pomeroy on the road for a limited number of shows this spring and summer.
Tucker Wetmore: What Not To
25-year old rising star Tucker Wetmore is about to release his debut album, What Not To, on April 25. Then, following what will be an incredible set at the Stagecoach Music Festival, Wetmore will embark on his summer tour with NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer.
Across 19 tracks, the Washington native has set out to prove he’s been a natural fit for country music for as long as he can remember. While deep-diving lyrically, Wetmore manages to turn contemporary country music on its head. With slick production and a story to tell, Wetmore has found the beginning of everything else to come. We suggest seeing him this summer, before the whole world knows about Wetmore&mdashthe next big artist in country music.
Brett Young: 2.0
Ahead of the release of his fourth studio album, country musician Brett Young has dropped an incredibly successful radio hit. The single, “Drink With You,” will be featured on the new record dubbed 2.0.
Having reached No. 1 with seven singles on the Country Charts, the pressure is on for Brett Young and his forthcoming 2.0. But we anticipate Young will meet it, and then surpass it. 2.0 will be out June 13, just in time to be played all summer long.
Kat Hasty: The Time Of Your Life
West Texas native Kat Hasty will release her first full band LP in the form of The Time of Your Life. Led by “The Family Business” and “Breaking Up the Band,” The Time of Your Life spans 10 tracks and will arrive in full on May 16.
Following 2021’s Drowing In Dreams, Kat Hasty’s forthcoming album signals a big shift in gears. Now supported by a full band, and bigger sound, we think Kat Hasty’s incredible songwriting is about to get the shine it deserves on this new LP.
Dierks Bentley: Broken Branches
Certified platinum country artist Dierks Bentley is about to have a huge year. Not only is he getting ready to release his 11th studio album Broken Branches, the “Well Well Whiskey” singer is gearing up for a massive nationwide tour.
