Warrior of the Week Episode 17: Frederick Felt
In this week’s episode of Warrior of the Week, TickPick is proud to honor Frederick Felt. We are incredibly grateful for Frederick’s service, and honored to send him tickets to see Stadium of Fire!
Veteran: Frederick Felt
Event: Stadium of Fire
Branch of Military: United States Navy
Frederick Felt served in the U.S. Navy as a midshipman on board the U.S.S. Lynde McCormick, DDG8 during the Vietnam War, when the Lynde McCormick was then one of the Navy’s newest frigates. It has since been decommissioned. He has always been grateful that the Navy helped him with his education. He became a physicist and aerospace engineer and served the Navy again, as an analyst on the Tomahawk Cruise Missile at General Dynamics Convair in San Diego. He is currently retired from NASA and teaching physics and astronomy part-time at Utah Valley University.
Frederick is the founder of Red Planet Laboratory, a DNA research firm located in Utah Valley. Together with another scientist at a local university, RPL is performing research based on a discovery in the U.S. Space Program that has cross-disciplinary application to biochemistry. Their research appears to have identified the molecular cause of DNA damage leading to cancer and aging. Pilot tests conducted at Red Planet support the hypothesis. This research promises a major scientific breakthrough to extended life and a world without cancer.
Red Planet Laboratory is seeking funding of $1.665M to conduct Phase II testing, research publication, and product development. To date, the effort has been self-funded, but the expense of biochemical supplies, test specimens, university overhead for laboratory space, and other costs have exceeded my ability to complete this work. Red Planet Laboratory is happy to accept donations, or investments, from interested parties. Funding is broken into phases with milestone completion.
Many thanks for your interest and support, and to the team at WarriorRising!
