Watch Ariana Grande Pay Tribute to Aretha Franklin on Fallon

Yesterday, the world lost Aretha Franklin, an icon above icons, the true Queen of Soul. To pay tribute to her immense legacy and inspiring body of songs, young vocalist Ariana Grande stopped by Fallon for a performance of “You Make Me Feel Like (A Natural Woman)”. Joined by The Roots, Ariana delivered a sweltering, heartfelt rendition full of revery. Check out Ariana Grande’s tribute to the Queen of Soul, below.

Ariana Grande’s new album Sweetener arrived on streaming services last night. The follow-up to 2016’s Dangerous Woman includes features from Pharrell Williams, longtime collaborator Nicki Minaj, and even Missy Elliott.  The funk, R&B-inspired Sweetener finds Ariana Grande’s flawless vocals over bouncier beats, such as the Pharrell-assisted “blazed” and the amorous “pete davidson”. Not to mention, the lulling “R.E.M”, Grande’s personal favorite from Sweetener. 

Will Ariana Grande tour in promotion of Sweetener in 2018? We’re not sure. But Grande has announced a few upcoming tour dates, including two nights at NYC’s Irving Plaza.
