Watch Blood Orange’s New Self-Directed Video for “Saint”

On Friday (August 24th) Blood Orange dropped Negro Swan, his silky, sorrowful, fully realized LP, which intimates in its listeners moods of elation and longing. In trying to paint a picture of an African American experience, his experience, Blood Orange crafted his most stunning album to date.

Arguably more simple and spare is the self-directed video for “Saint“, which finds Dev Hynes in his studio apartment with Pose actress Indya Moore, Kai the Black Angel, model Sara Cummings, designer/ASAP Rocky associate Kamil Abbas, and others. You can check out the laid back visuals below.

So far, Blood Orange has a short tour planned for this Fall, beginning on September 14th in Vancouver, British Columbia. The leg runs through October 13th at the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas, followed by a run of international dates.

Recently, Dev Hynes told Exclaim that he finished another, “more nihilistic and aggressive” album around the same time as Negro Swan, though he’s yet to announce any potential release details for that project.
