Will Miley Cyrus Tour in 2023?
Last Friday (Aug. 25) Miley Cyrus released the fourth single from the digital reissue of her latest album, Endless Summer Vacation. The single, “Used To Be Young,” was accompanied by a new music video directed by Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter.
The release of “Used To Be Young” inspired Miley Cyrus to open up about her somewhat controversial past as a teenager working in the entertainment industry. She discusses her father’s life and legacy, and the differences between herself and Billy Ray Cyrus. She revisits moments from her past, re-watching herself on video, and reflects on them with her hard-earned insight.
It’s been such a treat to hear Miley in her own words. She’s begun opening up about her thoughts on concert tours, as well. In Part 6 of her “Used To Be Young” Series, she even went so far as to say that touring isn’t healthy for her.
“That’s what people really don’t understand about touring, is the show is only 90 minutes, but that’s your life,” Miley began. “If you’re performing at a certain level of intensity and excellence, there should be an equal amount of recovery and rest.”
Unfortunately, the more Miley spoke, the more fans learned about the singer’s unhealthy relationship to touring and performing. “I think when you’re training your ego every single night to be active, that’s the hardest switch, for me, to turn off. Having every day the relationship between you and other humans be subject and observer isn’t healthy for me because it erases my humanity and my connection.”
Miley concluded, saying, “And without my humanity, my connection, I can’t be a songwriter, which is my priority.”
Has Miley Cyrus retired from performing large-scale music venues?
These statements fall in line with an earlier interview between Miley and British Vogue earlier this year. The singer stated she now prefers to play in more intimate settings, saying, “Like, singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety.”
Fans were, understandably, very shocked to hear Miley’s decision on future tours. She decided to address her fans in an open letter, which shed light on her current moment but did very little to clarify when fans would next see her in concert.
The letter states: “This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans & everything to do with I simply don’t want to get ready in a locker room. Which is the reality of life on the road,” she wrote. “I just don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It isn’t what’s best for me right NOW, & if you’ve been following my career you know that I always change and the way I feel about that could too.”
Which brings us to where we are now, in our wandering hope for Miley and her fans. It’s been seven years since Miley Cyrus went on a North American tour. When is the next Miley Cyrus concert in the U.S?
Will Miley Cyrus Tour in 2023?
In 2022, the Miley Cyrus “Attention” Tour hit South America. The “Attention” Tour was a limited, five-date arena and amphitheater tour that reached cities Buenos Aires, Santiago, Sao Paulo, Asunción, and Bogotá. We were hoping Miley would embark on a large-scale North American leg of the “Attention” Tour, but dates were never announced. This makes over seven years since Miley Cyrus toured the U.S.
The last Miley Cyrus tour was the “Milky Milky Milk Tour” in 2015. Not to mention, the “Milky Milky Milk Tour,” in promotion of her album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, only included 8 concerts, 8 cities, in club-like venues. In reality, it’s been even longer since Miley Cyrus embarked on a tour fit for the size of her following.
Where to find cheap Miley Cyrus Tickets
Miley Cyrus tickets are bound for high prices once they release. There are many factors contributing to what will be the perfect, Miley Cyrus storm around her next run of shows. Miley Cyrus’ next concert tour will be her first large-scale stint through North America since the 2014 Bangerz Tour—a tour now recognized as a pinnacle moment of her career.
Considering Miley’s new aversion to performing large-scale venues, we think her concert tickets are going to go fast. Especially now, since there won’t be nearly as many available. We anticipate Miley’s next tour to be very limited, as well.
As soon as Miley Cyrus announces her next U.S tour, you’ll be able to find the cheapest tickets here.
