Childish Gambino Drops New Song from Forthcoming Album

Today on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, Childish Gambino premiered the second new single off his forthcoming album, Awaken, My Love! The new song is titled “Redbone” and echoes some of the more soulful notes we saw from the album’s first released single “Me and Your Mama”. Both offerings are indicative that Awaken, My Love is going to be a real treat. Check out the official audio for “Redbone” below:

 

Though Childish Gambino hasn’t made an official announcement regarding the release of his upcoming album, we know from online marketplaces such as Amazon that Awaken, My Love! will be available for streaming on December 2nd via Glassnote Records.

In regards to the “Pharos Experience”, the festival/camping trip Glover hosted at Joshua Tree, there has been no mention if the 12 song set will make a full, partial, or any appearance on Awaken, My Love! Though, we know “Redbone” and “Me and Your Mama” have never been shown to the public, until now. It looks like 2016 was a pretty productive year for the actor/musician. Glover now has one full season of Atlanta beneath his belt and is about to release his third solo LP Awaken, My Love! Though little else is known about Awaken, My Love or who may be featured on it, a full track-list has been circulating.
