MLB Spring Training Tickets 2026: Schedule, Ticket Prices, & Where to Buy Cheap Tickets

February 5, 2026 by

Major League Baseball’s Opening Day of March 25th is soon approaching, but first, baseball fans will have an opportunity to catch a game in a warm climate for the first time in months.

Spring Training is a great way for baseball players to shake off the rust accumulated during the long offseason and prepare for the upcoming regular season. At the same time, teams can get a look at top young prospects and veterans looking to lengthen their careers.

All MLB Spring Training exhibition games take place in warm-weather states in either Florida’s Grapefruit League or Arizona’s Cactus League, giving players a beautiful climate to prepare for the 162-game grind of a regular season that lies ahead.

Spring Training baseball tickets are usually in high demand each season, given how small and intimate these ballparks are for games.

Many fans who live much closer to their favorite teams’ Spring Training complex than they do their regular home stadium may also find this to be the only chance to catch their team in person, which prompts the question: when do MLB Spring Training tickets go on sale, and how can you get the best Spring Training ticket prices?

Keep reading below for info on how to buy Spring Training Tickets, Spring Training seating charts, which teams are in the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues, and more.

MLB Spring Training Schedule & Leagues

What is the Grapefruit League?

The Grapefruit League comprises 15 MLB teams and a mix of teams from the American and National Leagues. Its teams play in ballparks throughout Florida.

These Grapefruit League teams all play in their own ballparks, except the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, who share the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, and the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, sharing the confines of Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter.

The Cactus League consists of the other 15 teams in the MLB and plays its games in ballparks scattered throughout Arizona.

Most teams in the Cactus League actually share their own state-of-the-art complex with a fellow team, as only the Brewers, Athletics, Cubs, Giants, and Angels have their own facilities.

MLB Spring Training Ticket Prices 2026 — Compare Prices & Buy Tickets

The benefit of Spring Training baseball is that the games are usually much more affordable for fans than regular-season MLB tickets, so it gives access to seeing your favorite players and some upcoming prospects at a more intimate ballpark at an affordable price point.

The only potential catch (and one of the reasons why these exhibition games are much cheaper than MLB tickets) is that all of the games are played in the state of Florida in what’s known as the Grapefruit League, or Arizona, in what’s known as the Cactus League.

This can make logistics tricky for fans trying to get to games to see their team play. Many fans attending these games are locals looking to catch MLB stars in their home area, or those who travel to these winter getaway cities.

Best Ways to Buy Spring Training Tickets Online

Buy Direct From MLB

MLB Spring Training tickets go on sale well ahead of the season, sometimes in early winter, like November. These tickets will be available on MLB’s website and can be purchased on Ticketmaster’s primary partner site at face value while they’re still available.

Buy on Secondary Ticket Sites

If you couldn’t buy Spring Training tickets from the primary ticket sites, you can still purchase tickets from a secondary marketplace like TickPick. On TickPick, there are no hidden fees, which means we have the guaranteed best prices on cheap MLB Spring Training tickets.

Last-Minute and Discounted Spring Training Tickets

TickPick also has last-minute Spring Training tickets, which can ultimately end up getting you the best deals available. While not always guaranteed, buying tickets on the day of the game can often secure a good deal, as sellers look to unload their tickets just before the event.

If you have not used TickPick before, you can sign up for a $10 ticket discount on your first purchase. If you have any further questions about how to get Spring Training tickets, please feel free to submit a request here.

FAQs: MLB Spring Training Tickets

When Does MLB Spring Training Start?

While pitchers and catchers report to their team’s Spring Training complex as early as Tuesday, February 10th, inter-squad Spring Training games between different teams will begin on Friday, February 20th, with each of the MLB’s 30 teams in action for their Grapefruit League games and Cactus League games.

When Do MLB Spring Training Tickets Go On Sale?

Given that 30 different teams may all have different presale codes or on-sale dates for their Spring Training game baseball tickets, we would advise checking out MLB’s Website and then clicking on the team logo of your choosing on the left of that homepage to search for games in which you may have an interest.

All subsequent presale information and on-sale dates will be available on that team’s page and in the team’s newsletter, which provides up-to-date emails on single-game ticket on-sale times.

We always recommend following the teams and their ballparks on social media and subscribing to their newsletters to stay up to date. However, be aware that presales and game ticket release dates may vary and are subject to change.
