Macklemore Features His Grandma in New “Glorious” Video

Macklemore has shared a new music video for his song “Glorious“. Known for his extravagant music videos, the Seattle rapper doesn’t let up on his latest offering, which stars himself and his grandmother Helen. In the video, Macklemore surprises his grandmother on her 100th birthday and ends up taking her on a joyride, going to the thrift shop, buying her Yeezys, inviting male strippers to give her a lap dance, and more.

“Glorious”, featuring Skylar Grey, will appear on Macklemore’s forthcoming solo album. This will be his first solo album since 2005’s Language of My World. Though we’re bummed Macklemore isn’t teaming up with producer Ryan Lewis for his new album, “Glorious” and the “Glorious” music video have us excited for this new chapter in his career. Macklemore released “Glorious” back in June. The track features production from longtime collaborator Josh “Budo” Karp with help from Tyler Dopps. Macklemore has yet to give us an official album title, release date, or any news regarding his upcoming solo effort.
