New Single: “What You Think” by Zaytoven, Ty Dolla $ign
Zaytoven, one of Southern hip-hop’s most prolific producers, has been teasing his solo debut for awhile now, and now we finally have the first single. On Thursday night, the Atlanta producer released his new single “What You Think,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, and OJ da Juiceman. Check out “What You Think” below.
Similarly to much of Zaytoven’s recent work, “What You Think” is centered on a a moving piano melody. Ty carries the track with the hook, and Jeremih follows form by contributing an autotune soaked lyrics. “VVS the wrist, what you think this is? / Brand new coupe outside, this a brand new vibe / She love Dolla Sign, she know every line,” Ty raps in the first verse.
“What You Think” follows the 9-song mixtape Zaytoven released in December, Trapping Made It Happen. The producer is readying his first, long-rumored, full length record Trap Holizay. Last Spring, Zaytoven boasted the names he’s secured for his upcoming LP. “So far I got Migos, Lil Yachty, of course Gucci [Mane] and 21 [Savage], Future, Lil Uzi Vert,” he told Uproxx, “and I’ve got a lot more work to do.”
Recently, Zaytoven has taken to Instagram to boast even more guests slated to appear on Trap Holizay, including Waka Flocka and Blac Youngsta.
Since Zaytoven’s interview with Uproxx, the producer has inked a deal with Motown Records. Hopefully, this means that Zaytoven’s solo debut LP is around the corner. Considering Zaytoven’s increasing influence in the industry and on the careers of several famous rappers, namely Gucci Mane, we think rap music fans ought to be very stoked for the arrival of Trap Holizay.
