Watch Chromeo’s Video for New Song “Juice”
Just last week, the Canadian “Funk Lordz” dropped a teaser trailer for their new album Head Over Heels, which featured a snippet of “Juice”, their sexy first single. Now, Chromeo has released the full version, in addition to a David Wilson directed music video. The visuals are silly and grandiose, which perfectly pair with the rampant sexual innuendoes throughout the track. You can check out Dave 1 and P-Thugg, clad in bright red heels, in the “Juice” music video below.
The tune is a trademark Chromeo track. With cheeky lyrics and soulful vocals over a bass-heavy, California synth pop sound, “Juice” is the perfect concoction we needed to transport our ears back to Summer and sunshine. Not to mention, the song’s hook could be one of the catchiest we’ve heard all year. Though Chromeo’s new single “Juice” could’ve been a huge Summer hit, we don’t think the song will suffer any popularity by arriving now.

David Wilson assists the Funk Lordz in bringing their iconic leg imagery to the next level, by keeping the guys strapped in heels and mini skirts for the entirety of the video. After some 4-wheeling fun, the duo break out their instruments in an orchard to get down in familiar, groovy fashion. The video is simple but entertaining at its core, an exciting new offering from Chromeo after four quiet years.
The release date of Head Over Heels has yet to be announced, but according to the album teaser trailer, its “coming soon”. Be on the look out for more singles from Chromeo, as they prepare to (finally) drop their fifth LP Head Over Heels.
