The Giants are one of the NFL's crown jewel franchises playing in its biggest market. With four Super Bowl titles and an appearance in a fifth since the 1980s, not many other teams this side of the 49ers can say they've had as much success since that time, and the big market appeal and a well-run franchise that starts at the top with the Mara family bodes well for more success to come. If you're looking to catch the G-Men in person this season, be sure to check out TickPick, where you'll NEVER pay any buyer fees!

Giants Address Short and Long-Term Needs With Early Selections in 2017 DraftThe Giants turned some heads with their selection of Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram at number 23 overall in the draft. While by most accounts he has the potential to be a big difference maker as a pass catching tight end in the pros, he had been graded out by most draft experts as going in the second day of the draft. Commend Giants GM Jerry Reese for addressing a big need, as incumbent tight ends Larry Donnell and Will Tye were known more for their blocking prowess and shaky hands than anything. Rest assured that Eli Manning is OK with the choice as it gives him another weapon to work with before he hits the twilight of his career in New York. The selection of Cal QB Davis Webb in the 3rd round may not be as exciting to Manning as he will be tabbed as his heir successor fairly or not, but Manning has a firm grip on the starting position for the foreseeable future and can help Webb ultimately bridge the gap as the Giants' signal caller. Other selections of defensive linemen like Dalvin Tomlinson out of Alabama who they took in the 2nd Round and Avery Moss who they took in the fifth will only bolster an effective pass rush and rebuilt defense that was among the league's best in 2016. The Big Blue's off-season addition of veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall to go along side Odell Beckham Jr. has now given Eli Manning arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the NFL. The Giants open the season at Dallas and play three of their first four games on the road, so will certainly be tested early. Although the Giants have three of their last four games at home, three are against division foes and very well may determine their postseason fate.Giants Do Well to Address Problem Areas in 2016 DraftThe Giants did well in addressing needs during this draft. They took cornerback Eli Apple out of Ohio State with their first-round pick, and Apple should provide an immediate upgrade for a defense that had a horrendous time defending the pass last season. In this pass-happy era of the NFL, that won't fly, and the Giants did well to address this early. Their second-round pick Sterling Shepard, a wide receiver out of Oklahoma that is one of the best receivers in this class and should slot in right away as a number two receiver behind phenom Odell Beckham Jr. With an inevitable season marred by injury from Victor Cruz, this was an underrated need and also a good value pick by New York. Fifth-rounder Paul Perkins out of UCLA could emerge as a lead back for a team that has had a running back by committee in the last few seasons. A true workhorse back emerging would be a huge boon for an offense that has aired it out in recent seasons but struggled to eat up clock with their run game.
