Last year the Southern Methodist University Mustangs were banned from the NCAA tournament; This year SMU lost a Hall of Fame coach and multiple scholarships. You would think this team would bury their heads and succumb to the roadblocks they have faced, but that has not been the case. This SMU team has played more freely, thanks to former coach-in-waiting Tim Jankovich. They currently hold a 24-4 record, and are a projected No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament. Hungry, talented and well coached, nothing is blocking this SMU team this year.
