Madison Square Garden (MSG) is the well known and beloved home to both the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. Since opening its doors in 1964, MSG has emerged as "the most famous venue in the world." However, it is best known as being the "Mecca of Basketball." As one of the busiest venues in the world, with over 19,000 seat capacity, The Garden hosts the most popular concerts and sporting events nightly.
Where are the Team Benches Located for Sporting Events?
Team benches for Saint John's games in Madison Square Garden are located on the north side of the venue, with the Red Storm bench in front of section 4, and the visitor's bench is located in front of section 6. This is the opposite for Knicks games, as their bench is in front of section 6, while the visitor's is in front of section 4. For Rangers games, the home bench is in front of sections 106-107, and the visitor's bench is in front of 107-108.
Where are the Best Seats at MSG?
The best seats for the event that you're attending would depend on what type it is. For example, if you're attending a basketball or hockey game, the best seats would typically be located over mid-court or center ice, which would include sections 107 and 117. For concerts, it would depend on where the stage was located, but being towards these center sections would generally provide a great view no matter where the stage is situated.
Penalty Box and Rangers Shoot Twice
The Rangers shoot twice on the side of the ice where Sections 111-113 are located. The penalty boxes are located in front of Section 117.
