History and Overview
Opening in the summer of 1922, the Hollywood Bowl is one of the oldest outdoor amphitheaters in the country. The venue is located just outside Los Angeles, as the famous "Hollywood" sign can be seen high above the stage. The 17,500 seat amphitheater was renovated in 2003-2004, as the band shell was replaced with a new shell that helped improve acoustics.
