History and Overview
When opening in 1972, the DTE Energy Music Theatre was the largest amphitheatre in the U.S. holding 12,500 people. Today, "The Knob" (nickname of the original venue name "Pine Knob Music Theatre") holds just over 15,000 with around 7,000 reserve seats and a capacity of 8,000 on the lawn. Located about 40 miles outside of Detroit in Clarkston, Michigan the DTE Energy Music Theatre has won numerous awards over the years and has been host to some of the best artist in music such as Bob Seger, Eddie Money, and Kid Rock to name a few.
PIT Tickets at DTE Energy Music Theatre
Pit seating is available for some shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre and is located right in front of the stage. Pit seating is similar to a general admission section, where its standing room only with no assigned seats. This area is great if you are trying to get as close to your favorite artist or band as possible.

Here are two different DTE Music seating charts, however both have detailed information including the row numbers and one with seat numbers. Note, the DTE Music Energy Theater has lawn seats behind the specific assigned seats, of course these seats are less expensive then the other DTE seats.
