Primus Info

Though Primus began as a purely underground phenomena, they quickly garnered a large cult following due to their musical prowess and innovative approach to rock and funk music. Unlike contemporaries such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus is centered upon the bass playing of Les Claypool, who enters and dominates several of their biggest hits. Described as a "post-rock Rush with the playfulness of Frank Zappa", Primus continues to be a highly unclassifiable project, gaining the respect of acclaimed bands such as TOOL, who have welcomed them to join on their 2016 tour dates.
