Where is the Hawkeyes Bench Located?
The Hawkeyes bench is located on the west end of the field between sections 126 and 127, while the visiting bench is located in front of the mirrored sections across the field on the east end between sections 105 and 106.
Best Seats at Kinnick Stadium
Traditionally, the best seats in which to watch the game from in Kinnick Stadium would be located as close as possible to the 50 yard line, which in this stadium would be section 127 on the Hawkeye's bench side and section 105 on the opposing team's bench side. It should be noted that one would probably want to sit up a few rows (roughly 8-10) if you are seated in a section behind a team bench, as it is possible the players and staff on the field could obstruct one???s view.
Kinnick Stadium Student Sections
Student sections in Kinnick Stadium are located in the southwest wing of the stadium in sections 217-221 and 117-123, and the school's band is located in section 116. Tickets in these sections cannot be purchased on the secondary market, as these students are given tickets for home games that are transferable.
Kinnick Stadium Tailgating
Fans looking to tailgate outside of Kinnick Stadium have plenty of options in terms of parking, including free parking with free shuttle service to and from the stadium in lots 55, 71, or 85. Parking passes can also be purchased on the secondary market for most lots. All lots are open by 6 a.m. on the day of each home game and post-game tailgating has been extended to four hours post-game for 11 a.m. kickoff with alcohol consumption ending three hours post-game and tailgating three hours post-game for afternoon kickoff, with alcohol consumption ending two hours post-game.
