Opening in 2011, Children's Mercy Park is a state of the art venue that is home to Sporting Kansas City. Children's Mercy Park provides fans a unique, european feel for every home game. With a capacity for over 21,000 fans, Children's Mercy Park is covered by a rooftop canopy and includes field level club seats and suites. In 2012, the stadium won several awards including "Venue of the Year Award." And in 2013, the stadium hosted the MLS All-Star Game, the United States men's national soccer team, and the MLS Cup, three of the most prestigious matches in the United States, and is the only stadium to host all three in the same year.
