Diplo Info

Diplo is known for integrating a wide range of genres into his mixes, including but not limited to 80's pop, Dirty south hip-hop, and his biggest influence, Miami Bass Music. After producing a number of mixtapes which received small amounts of recognition via the internet, Diplo decided to explore genres in other parts of the world, such as Brazil and Jamaica. This led to the start of Diplo's own record label, Mad Decent Records. In addition to the unique exploration of worldly music, Diplo is also responsible for putting M.I.A. on the map outside of her U.K borders, as well as the dancehall/reggae project, Major Lazer.
