Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Overview
Opening in 1930, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (BHGS) is home to the University of Florida Gators. BHGS originally seated 21,000 fans in 1930, but through seven expansions has turned into one of the largest stadiums in the country, holding over 88,000 fans for any home Florida game or concert. BHGS has a notorious reputation for being hot, loud, and for being a very difficult place to play for opposing fans. This home field advantage has helped power Florida into one of the premiere college football programs in the country.
