Lawn Seating at Xfinity Theatre
The lawn at Xfinity Theatre can hold up to 18,000 people and is a general admission seating area. Most will bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating. Others like to arrive early in order to sit or stand as close as possible. Lawn seating is the cheapest way to see a show at the Xfinity Theatre, but keep in mind the lawn is open and not covered in the event of rain.
History and Overview
The Xfinity Theatre is one of the largest indoor/outdoor amphitheatres in the country. Located in Hartford, the Xfinity Theatre can seat 7,500 inside the amphitheatre and an additional 22,500 on the lawn. The amphitheatre has had a few different names over the years, most recently Comcast Theatre. Opening in 1995, the Xfinity Theatre is minutes from downtown Hartford with easy access to hotels, restaurants, and bars.
Xfinity Theatre Seat Numbers
The Xfinity Theatre seat numbers are set up where in sections 100, 300, 400, 500, 700 and 800 seat number "1" is closest to the center of the stage. For sections 200 and 600 (center sections), seat "1" is to the right when facing the stage (next to sections 100 and 500). So in conclusion, the lower your seat number, the closer you will be to the center of the venue when you are sitting in sections 100, 300, 400, 500, 700 and 800.
