Where are the Best Seats at the McKale Center
The best seats at the McKale Center are located in sections A2-A4 and A14-A16. These sections are closest to midcourt, which is ideal for viewing a basketball game. Tickets in these sections can be expensive, so it may be worth looking into other seating options on the baselines or upper level for better value.
Where are the Team Benches at the McKale Center
Team benches are located on the sideline in front of sections A1-A5.
Student Section at the McKale Center
The student section at the McKale Center is known as the ZonaZoo. U of A students have the reputation of being one of the loudest student sections in the PAC-12. These seats are reserved for University of Arizona students only at a first-come, first-serve basis.
McKale Center Overview
The McKale Center opened in 1973 and today is one of the most well known college basketball arenas in the country. The University of Arizona typically leads the PAC-12 in attendance thanks to their great basketball tradition. A lot of the Wildcats success over the years was due to the efforts of former coaching legend Lute Olsen. In 2001, the court was renamed "Lute and Bobbi Olson Court", Bobbie being Lute's late wife. Today, the McKale Center holds 14,700 and frequently hosts games for the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.
