History and Overview
Memorial Stadium is located on the campus of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and is home to schools football team. Memorial Stadium was constructed back in 1927. It now holds 91,000 fans, and has an ongoing NCAA record of 333 consecutive sellouts, dating back to 1962. When full, Memorial Stadium holds more people than any city in the state of Nebraska expect for Omaha And Lincoln. Fans are encourage to wear The Husker Red to each game and because of this the stadium is often referred to as the "Sea of Red" on game day.
Student Section
The student sections at Memorial Stadium are located in sections 9-14. University of Nebraska students are notoriously rowdy, but student tickets are not available on the secondary market, so the closest you can get to this action are in the adjacent sections 8 and 15.
Seat Numbers
The standard sports stadium is set up so that seat number 1 is closer to the preceding section. For example seat 1 in section "5" would be on the aisle next to section "4" and the highest seat number in section "5" would be on the aisle next to section "6". For theaters and amphitheaters (i.e. venues that don't have sections around the entire stage) seat numbers follow a different logic. Instead the lower numbered seats are typically closer to the center of the stage while higher seat numbers are further from the center of the stage.
