With plenty of grass to go around, there is plenty of lawn seating at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The most affordable way to attend a concert at SPAC is on the lawn. Lawn seating has no assigned seats, as most bring blankets or chairs for seating purposes. Be aware that some might stand for a majority of the concert depending on the artist, so arrive early to ensure you claim a spot, as the lawn will fill up quickly for larger shows. Opening in the summer of 1966, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (commonly know as SPAC) is located about 30 miles north of Albany inside Saratoga Spa State Park. The venue is nestled between large pine trees at the base of a hill that accommodates up to 20,000 people for lawn seating. The amphitheatre itself holds 5,200 depending on the event. The Dave Matthews Band and Phish typically draw the biggest crowds when touring, however, the Grateful Dead have played for some of SPAC's biggest crowds to date. Recognized as one of the best outdoor venues in the country, SPAC's amphitheatre has world class acoustics. The stage was designed to hold a full symphony orchestra and the floor was custom made for the New York City Ballet, who along with the Philadelphia Orchestra call SPAC home each year.

The VIP parking and entrance is great for easy access in and out of the venue to help avoid traffic.
